Stamp-A-Faire!!! Yay!

Ok, so yesterday I participated in an event called Stamp-A-Faire from a company called Papertrey Ink (Love them!!!!).  It was so incredibly fun but to explain it kinda shortly, the crafty day was based on summer camp that you earned badges with and everything.  There were different tutorials and challenges throughout the day along with tons of videos.  Out of the 8 different tuts/challenges, I only finished 3, but I'm super happy with 3 that I did get done!  Here they are...

This is all 3, looks pretty, uhhh, meager, but what can you do.

With this challenge (Limited Supply), we were given a small amount of supplies that we could use and be as creative as you could.  The only items that were permissible to use beyond the given paper, buttons, ribbon and stamp set were inks, glitter and twine.

This challenge (Tie-Dye Techniques) we were given 3 different techniques to create a tie-dye look.  I adjusted the first video a bit by stamping an image and embossing it with white embossing powder then sponging on my TH inks, running them together a bit.  I then used perfect pearls and sprayed the mess out of it.  The colors swirled together and blended creating a similar effect.  With Nichole's video, she swirled her ink and took a wet paint brush and swirled her brush through the inks.

This one is the Beaded Friendship Bracelet Challenge.  Our SAF kit came with a die to cut those super long triangular strips the you roll up and they make beads (super, super cool).  I made a 3-stranded bracelet, however, I misjudged my own wrist so I can't actually wear it myself, though I'm sure I can find someone who will love it!

I had sooo much fun doing this event and will definately be participating in future events.

Long time no speaky!!

Ok, so I haven't been on here in what feels like forever.  I haven't been writing because I recently got married (yay!) and had tons of DIY stuff to do for the wedding.  Needless to say, etsy and the blog got no love while I was doing that.  I also didn't want to post my wedding goodies on here till after everyone had seen them or gotten them.

Today, my plan was to take pics of all my projects and get them all posted for you all to see as well as the pics my little brother took of my reception and some of the ones from the photographer, but alas, G, a little boy that I used to nanny, is feeling sickly today and I am at his house making sure he doesn't invite half the school for a drunken party while mom and dad are out of town (just kidding, he's only 9).  Anyway, that kinda put a small wrench in my immediate plans.  I got the pics taken but don't have the software here to smudge out details like my address and such so I can't/won't post the pics of the paper goods until I can do that and the pics of my reception are on my computer at home, so can't do those either, but what I will do is share with you some of the pics from FX Studios (aka: The Greatest Photographers Ever!!)  I love, love, love all of my pics and have had a hard time picking which ones I want printed out for display but here's my faves...

This one's my favorite one I think.  Doesn't Ron look so handsome?!
Oh! By the way, I'm Mishmash now...yes really Mishmash, it's not a joke and I know, it's the coolest last name ever!  It is still weird saying that Ron's my husband now and not my boyfriend.  After almost 7 years of saying boyfriend, I suppose it will take some getting used to!

Here's a full of my dress, I'll post another one later in the post.

This one might be tied for my favorite too, I'm just not sure!  I am getting this one printed for a picture frame that we got for a gift from a couple of family friends, Kim and her sister Charisse that I will have on our dresser.

See what I mean, so handsome!  I think I did a great job picking out the guys' outfits even though I got a lot of grief from Ron and my dad at first.

Me and my Papap during a special Grandfather/Granddaughter dance.

Me and Ron for our first dance.  It was to Wanted by Hunter Hayes!!

My bouquet.  The wrapped stems that you can see to the right are to Misty's bouquet, mine is the same color ribbon, but it also has cream lace wrapped around it too.  I went to flea markets and raided my mom's old jewelry and attached them all over my bouquet,  I loved it!

Here's my cousin Jessica with my "guest book".  It's a painted copper wire tree and the tags say things like "love is..."  "We wish you..." and "you know you're in love when..."  They are a prompt to finish the sentence and sign, doesn't it look cool.

This is my super awesome, wouldn't have changed a thing, cupcake stand.  It holds 300 cupcake and looked AHHmazing.  Ron built it and I did the lace covered panels.  I made the cupcakes and didn't eat but the one that Ron shoved up my nose.  The only reason that I had a bite of that one is because I had to, otherwise, I'm sooooo tired of cupcakes, they were delicious (if I do say so myself) but making them was enough for me.  Once again though, I wouldn't change it for anything!!

See, shoved it right up my nose even though I was super nice and gave him the bottom corner, avoiding the frosting so it wouldn't get on his face, but after frosting boogers were forced into my nose...

It was on!

Here's the other full of my dress! It was so perfect!

I suppose I'll quit posting now because I'm sure it's getting rediculous if it isn't already.  Just thought I'd share and pics of my paper goods and reception decor will be coming shortly!!
